The Don’ts of Applying for a Job

Ever wonder why you are dropping your resume at so many places and still not getting a call? Of course it sometimes only is about luck, but what if there are actually some things which you can take care of when applying for a job?

The least impressive thing for any job application is an absence of a cover letter. A cover letter is part-time representative of you when you are not there to prove yourself. It also tells the employers how much interested you are for the job.

Secondly, social media are very keen these days. Organizations also go through your social media accounts sometimes to scrutinize well who they are hiring. If there is something that can go against the requirements/principals of the job, then your resume can get ignored!

Thirdly, you should keep a track of this period. It is beneficial to know where and when you have applied, how many times you landed at an interview, how many time you did not hear anything. This record gives you a direction to analyze where you are lacking or where there is room for improvement.

Lastly, the most crucial part of this job search is to never under estimate you. This period can be tiring, exhausting and can sometimes make you hopeless, but you should know that you can ace it up when you work hard. Don’t limit yourself with the skills or other requirements of the job, sometimes the employer even hire when they see the spark in the candidate to do better than others!
