Eid is a time for joy and connection. It is a needed break.. When the holidays are over it can be tough to get back to work. You might feel slow and tired. Your energy is low your inbox is full. Your routine feels far away.

Do not try to jump into work all at once. Think of this as a chance to reset, not restart.

1. Start with a Soft Landing

Do not try to do much on your first day back. Start with things like:

  • Looking at your emails. Do not reply to all of them right away
  • Making a list of tasks you need to do
  • Figuring out what your top 3 priorities are

When you are clear about what you need to do you will feel less stressed. It is better to be clear than to try to do things

2. Get Back into Your Routine

You do not need to change everything. Just get back into your routine:

  • Decide on your working hours
  • Start your morning routine again
  • Set aside time to focus on your work

When you have a routine you will feel more in control. You will be able to get more done.

3. Do Not Try to Catch Up on Everything at Once

You do not need to do everything away. Just focus on:

  • Things that’re urgent
  • Things that are important
  • Things that will help you get back into your routine quickly

It is not about doing more work it is about doing what is important first.

4. Talk to Your Team

After a holiday it can be hard to get into work mode. Talking to your team can help:

  • Make sure you are all on the page
  • Clear up any misunderstandings
  • Start working again

Sometimes one conversation can save you a lot of time and confusion.

5. Give Yourself Time to Adjust

It is okay to start. It is normal. If you take it easy you will start to feel more focused and motivated within a couple of days.

6. Remember the Good Things about Eid

Eid is not a holiday it is a reminder of what is important:

  • Being grateful
  • Spending time with loved ones
  • Finding balance in your life

Try to bring these things into your work. It will make your work feel more meaningful and fun.

Final Thought

It does not have to be hard to get to work after Eid. Just take it one step at a time get back into your routine and focus on making progress. Do not try to be perfect.
The best way to get back, to work is to do it on purpose.
